The Making of the TANGLED TIDES Cover

Today I'm posting over at the YA Confidential blog about the making of my TANGLED TIDES book cover. Check out how me, my publisher Rhemalda, and my cover artist, Melissa Williams, went from this...

to this!
Check out the step by step transformation (it's pretty neat).

  7. It's too bad more publishers don't involve their authors like that in the cover art. I'm OCD enough that I get really annoyed at covers that get the details wrong or have nothing to do with the story. LOL

Anywho, it truly is an awesome cover. It's the kind of cover that would pull me across a bookstore for a better look. It just screams, "BUY ME! I'M AWESOME!"

  8. Wow, that's so awesome to see the steps in how the cover changed and how receptive the artist and publisher was to working with you.
