Many of you are busy and won't watch the entire video (I don't blame you), but be sure to watch for a few seconds around the 5 and a half minute mark. I got some great shots of Donald Maass, Scott Eagan, and Steven Axelrod--along with some other great well-knowns.
For those of you who haven't met me in real life, you are about to see what a true dork I am.
I now present: THE MEN OF RWA 2010
Thanks to everyone who posed, agreed to be interviewed, helped photograph and/or video, let me make an ass of myself, etc. This retardely awesome video wouldn't have been possible without you.
PS: Sorry about the crappy photo quality. I only had my cell phone.

Very funny! I loved watching your man hunt. Glad you seem to be having lots of fun! Wish I could be there with you, although I'm not sure I'm a 'romance' writer but whatever. I want to go man hunting! ♥ReplyDelete
Lol. This was hilarious, Karen!!!ReplyDelete
Wow, that was great. Very funny. You should make more videos.ReplyDelete
That was great! thanks for posting, I giggled a lot!ReplyDelete
Karen, what a great look at another side to RWA. thanks for the enjoyable video.ReplyDelete
Hilarious, Karen. That has got to be the coolest vlog from RWA. I dare anyone else to come close to its awesomeness.ReplyDelete
I LOVE YOU hahahahaha Great vlog. Looks like you had so much fun. I can't wait to hear a million times more about it. xoxoxoxoReplyDelete
That was hilarious! I loved the out-takes!! Looks like a blast ;o) Thanks for sharing!ReplyDelete
Okay... one of the funniest vlogs ever. I was laughing so, so hard. I don't think your dorky at all.ReplyDelete
But that MIGHT be my own dorkyness speaking... Darn.
That was hilarious!!! So glad you posted this. Now I'll always be able to remember RWA10 with great fondness and hilarity. :-)ReplyDelete
Oh my gosh it was even better than I imagined it!!ReplyDelete
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for making this such a great trip!
You just made my Monday morning! This was soooo funny. I'm forwarding the link to all my RWA buds!ReplyDelete
You're so funny ... but also adorable.ReplyDelete
This was so awesome. It looks like the conference was a raging success, too. Yes, the number of available men was limited perhaps, but oh well. At least you got to have fun making a video for us.ReplyDelete
Ahaahaaaaa! I absolutely have to post this on my blog, with your permission? HILARIOUS!ReplyDelete
I missed Kristen at the conference too, wah. And that Patrick is a hoot.
And slobbering love affair? Really? That's a man's pov for you. LOL
A perfect way to begin my Monday! That was great fun. :)ReplyDelete
Wazzup with him wearing the kilt?
Yes, this was perfect. I loved seeing you! Wish we could've hung out more.ReplyDelete
Haha. That looks like so much fun. Fantastic video.ReplyDelete
And for the record, I know there was a man at the "3 Steps to a Highly Hot Hero" because he sat right behind me. He was a very nice, ex-military doctor... but he was a little too old for us :-)
Patrick was hilarious.
Also, that guy on the escalator was definitely with RWA. He was behind me in line waiting to go into the dinner/awards, but he was about as talkative as Patrick. However, he broke his silence to say my puppy (on my phone) was "very cute."
What a great video. I appreciate you doing the video and allowing me to make my first international appearance in a video. I hope to see you in New York next year as RWA and Thrillerfest are within a few days of each other.ReplyDelete

Men of the RWA
Great video...loved, loved, loved it.ReplyDelete
Wow! What a great job putting this together! So funny! Wasn't RWA Nationals amazing?ReplyDelete
Those men looked like castaways. Reminded me of the first and last time I attended an aerobics class to impress a girl.ReplyDelete
That was awesome! I've never seen a V-log with an outtakes reel at the end! LOL! - GReplyDelete
Patrick's plenty talkative. You should read his blog. ;o)ReplyDelete
Wonderful video! So hilarious!ReplyDelete
What an awesome video! How original. I got a good laugh out of it. Keep it up!ReplyDelete
LOL!! And I watched the WHOLE thing!! You score a 10 on both the cute-meter and funny-meter. :)ReplyDelete
What a great idea. Awesome video. I watched the whole thing and you are definitely not a dork.ReplyDelete
That was well worth the wait while it loaded, buffered and loaded some more.ReplyDelete
Patrick rules! That man has great comedic timing :)
*dies laughing* OMG I'm so glad you had a great time at RWA but I WISH you could have been with us at SCBWI. We must exchange stories stat!ReplyDelete
Ha! Haha! Hahahahahahaaaa!ReplyDelete
Er... if I were a single, guy, I'd totally bang out a romance novel and join RWA to meed ladiez. That would be a helluva strategy, no? :)
Also, W00T for the guest spot by Harley May!
So... um... did you? (You know what I'm talking about.)
OMG! This is hysterical!!! I watched every second, Karen. I'd intended to be at RWA Nashville, but when the conference moved to Orlando, it just wasn't possible. So funny, this is exactly how I envisioned it.ReplyDelete
Looks like I need to go to RWA next year...ReplyDelete
Always have a blast when I visit.ReplyDelete
Too funny! Glad we got to meet at RWA. ANd you definitely found more men than I saw the entire time I was there. :)ReplyDelete
You are so frigging hilarious, Karen!! Loved it. Love you! I so wish I had been there with you.ReplyDelete
P.S. I can't wait until we can all get together! I loved SCBWI and hanging with the awesome Casey and Sara, but I felt your absence, chickadee.ReplyDelete
Hilarious - great way to meet some men - slim pickens though.ReplyDelete
Funny stuff, Karen. I'm glad you finally found some men. They had to be hiding somewhere. ;)ReplyDelete
awesome video!! love it!ReplyDelete
