Many of you are busy and won't watch the entire video (I don't blame you), but be sure to watch for a few seconds around the 5 and a half minute mark. I got some great shots of Donald Maass, Scott Eagan, and Steven Axelrod--along with some other great well-knowns.
For those of you who haven't met me in real life, you are about to see what a true dork I am.
I now present: THE MEN OF RWA 2010
Thanks to everyone who posed, agreed to be interviewed, helped photograph and/or video, let me make an ass of myself, etc. This retardely awesome video wouldn't have been possible without you.
PS: Sorry about the crappy photo quality. I only had my cell phone.

Write. Read. Imagine. Create. Learn. Love. Live. Repeat.
Very funny! I loved watching your man hunt. Glad you seem to be having lots of fun! Wish I could be there with you, although I'm not sure I'm a 'romance' writer but whatever. I want to go man hunting! ♥
ReplyDeleteLol. This was hilarious, Karen!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that was great. Very funny. You should make more videos.
ReplyDeleteThat was great! thanks for posting, I giggled a lot!
ReplyDeleteKaren, what a great look at another side to RWA. thanks for the enjoyable video.
ReplyDeleteHilarious, Karen. That has got to be the coolest vlog from RWA. I dare anyone else to come close to its awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOU hahahahaha Great vlog. Looks like you had so much fun. I can't wait to hear a million times more about it. xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteThat was hilarious! I loved the out-takes!! Looks like a blast ;o) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOkay... one of the funniest vlogs ever. I was laughing so, so hard. I don't think your dorky at all.
ReplyDeleteBut that MIGHT be my own dorkyness speaking... Darn.
That was hilarious!!! So glad you posted this. Now I'll always be able to remember RWA10 with great fondness and hilarity. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh it was even better than I imagined it!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for making this such a great trip!
You just made my Monday morning! This was soooo funny. I'm forwarding the link to all my RWA buds!
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny ... but also adorable.
ReplyDeleteThis was so awesome. It looks like the conference was a raging success, too. Yes, the number of available men was limited perhaps, but oh well. At least you got to have fun making a video for us.
ReplyDeleteAhaahaaaaa! I absolutely have to post this on my blog, with your permission? HILARIOUS!
ReplyDeleteI missed Kristen at the conference too, wah. And that Patrick is a hoot.
And slobbering love affair? Really? That's a man's pov for you. LOL
A perfect way to begin my Monday! That was great fun. :)
ReplyDeleteWazzup with him wearing the kilt?
Happy Monday,
Lola
Yes, this was perfect. I loved seeing you! Wish we could've hung out more.
ReplyDeleteHaha. That looks like so much fun. Fantastic video.
ReplyDeleteHaha!
ReplyDeleteAnd for the record, I know there was a man at the "3 Steps to a Highly Hot Hero" because he sat right behind me. He was a very nice, ex-military doctor... but he was a little too old for us :-)
Patrick was hilarious.
Also, that guy on the escalator was definitely with RWA. He was behind me in line waiting to go into the dinner/awards, but he was about as talkative as Patrick. However, he broke his silence to say my puppy (on my phone) was "very cute."
What a great video. I appreciate you doing the video and allowing me to make my first international appearance in a video. I hope to see you in New York next year as RWA and Thrillerfest are within a few days of each other.

Men of the RWA
Great video...loved, loved, loved it.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great job putting this together! So funny! Wasn't RWA Nationals amazing?
ReplyDeleteThose men looked like castaways. Reminded me of the first and last time I attended an aerobics class to impress a girl.
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome! I've never seen a V-log with an outtakes reel at the end! LOL! - G
ReplyDeletePatrick's plenty talkative. You should read his blog. ;o)
ReplyDeleteWonderful video! So hilarious!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome video! How original. I got a good laugh out of it. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! And I watched the WHOLE thing!! You score a 10 on both the cute-meter and funny-meter. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. Awesome video. I watched the whole thing and you are definitely not a dork.
ReplyDeleteThat was well worth the wait while it loaded, buffered and loaded some more.
ReplyDeletePatrick rules! That man has great comedic timing :)
*dies laughing* OMG I'm so glad you had a great time at RWA but I WISH you could have been with us at SCBWI. We must exchange stories stat!
ReplyDeleteHa! Haha! Hahahahahahaaaa!
ReplyDeleteEr... if I were a single, guy, I'd totally bang out a romance novel and join RWA to meed ladiez. That would be a helluva strategy, no? :)
Also, W00T for the guest spot by Harley May!
So... um... did you? (You know what I'm talking about.)
OMG! This is hysterical!!! I watched every second, Karen. I'd intended to be at RWA Nashville, but when the conference moved to Orlando, it just wasn't possible. So funny, this is exactly how I envisioned it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like I need to go to RWA next year...
ReplyDeleteAlways have a blast when I visit.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Glad we got to meet at RWA. ANd you definitely found more men than I saw the entire time I was there. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so frigging hilarious, Karen!! Loved it. Love you! I so wish I had been there with you.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I can't wait until we can all get together! I loved SCBWI and hanging with the awesome Casey and Sara, but I felt your absence, chickadee.
ReplyDeleteHilarious - great way to meet some men - slim pickens though.
ReplyDeleteFunny stuff, Karen. I'm glad you finally found some men. They had to be hiding somewhere. ;)
ReplyDeleteawesome video!! love it!
